Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior Robotics/UAV Design Engineer to join our Robotics & Autonomous Systems Department. The candidate will work on embedded systems, UAV flight-control integration, control-loop implementation, and autonomous robotic platforms. The role involves close collaboration across electronics, firmware, robotics, and control systems, with opportunities to contribute to advanced UAV and multi-UAV/swarm capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and integrate embedded firmware and control systems for UAVs and robotic platforms.
  2. Perform UAV assembly, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and flight-test support.
  3. Develop and implement real-time control algorithms, including PID controllers and control loops.
  4. Work with microcontrollers/controllers and implement synchronization in complex embedded systems.
  5. Interface sensors, actuators, flight controllers, telemetry systems, and companion computers.
  6. Support simulation, system validation, log analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  7. Contribute to the development of autonomous navigation and multi-UAV/swarm capabilities.
  8. Support the design, integration, and testing of embedded hardware and firmware for robotics and UAV applications.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. 2–3 years of relevant experience in UAV integration, embedded systems, robotics, or related engineering domains. Fresh graduates with exceptional hands-on UAV/robotics project experience may also be considered.
  3. Strong hands-on skills in Embedded C / Bare-Metal C programming.
  4. Hands-on experience with embedded hardware and firmware design; experience with STM32 or TI microcontrollers is preferred.
  5. Good understanding of microcontroller peripherals, interrupts, timers, PWM, ADC, and communication interfaces.
  6. Good understanding of PID controllers, basic DSP/filtering concepts, PID tuning, and real-time control-loop implementation.
  7. Familiarity with MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, or Ground Control Stations will be considered an advantage.
  8. Experience with UAV swarm/multi-UAV systems, autonomous navigation, multi-agent coordination, or distributed control will be an added advantage.
  9. Exposure to ROS/ROS2 or robotics middleware is desirable.
  10. Python experience for simulation, testing, and data analysis will be considered an advantage.
  11. Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills, with a hands-on approach to engineering and system development.
